CORE CARE

Establishing your Family’s Trusted Sitter Team


Pay a once off fee to be connected to a core care team of 1 to 3 sitters depending on your service tier (basic or premium) who will be matched based on your child(ren)’s age, their relevant experience, education level and proximity  to assist you as required from time to time. This service includes:
  • Direct Contact: Reach out to your preferred sitter(s) anytime.
  • Trusted & Experienced: All sitters are thoroughly vetted, criminal clearance checked, reference-checked and matched to your family’s needs.
  • Flexible Support: Ideal for occasional bookings, ongoing care, or emergency coverage.
  • Rates: Negotiable directly with Sitters

SITSNAPP CLUB

 Backup Childcare


If you often have working hours based babysitting requirements  (times at which professionals are often unavailable) and you know at least 5 working days in advance when you will need these services, having completed the core care process, you can access additional coverage whenever your core sitters aren’t available. For a minimal monthly fee we provide:
  •  up to 3 additional bookings free of charge at any time
  • a  reduced per booking rate charged, per booking thereafter.
  • 5–15% off placement fees for short-term childcare bookings (24+ hours).
  • Up to 10% off agency booking fees for event childcare and entertainment.

Booking Notice

BOOKING NOTICE


Once your CoreCARE request is registered with SitSnapp, most families are matched with their Primary Sitter(s). This matching process may take a few days to weeks. For SitSnapp Club Member bookings, while we accept bookings to be worked anytime, in Gauteng we require  a minimum of 5 working days notice is required.

We provide service within 100km from the aforementioned centers, however any distance beyond 20km from these centres is charged at R 9 p/km in each direction.
Ratios

RATIOS


The ratio of children to carer, and the requirements for the carer are determined by the number and ages of children requiring care. The minimum requirements of child carers to care for;
  • Up to 2 children over 6 years old;

LIGHT

Ideal for families looking for 1–3 bookings a month — after-hours, weekends, or flexible weekday support.

  • Perfect for families needing regular weekly or multiple monthly bookings, including evenings, weekends, and workday care this option includes personal sitter matching with 3 dedicated sitters you can contact directly to make a booking request.
  • R4 950 once-off Includes 3 dedicated sitter contacts

  • R395 per month
  • Includes up to 2 bookings per month if your core team is unavailable.

ADDITIONAL BOOKINGS


For additional bookings for club members beyond those included in membership, please note:

  • The booking fee is the agencies service fee and is paid per booking per candidate booked.
  • Once the request is processed, the Booking Fee is not refundable and is due whether the booking is completed or cancelled, as it covers SitSnapp sourcing related costs.

  • After-Hours Bookings: For bookings starting after 18h00, Monday to Friday & Weekends: R 350 per sitter per booking

  • Weekdays: For bookings which include service during normal working hours 07h00 – 18h00, Monday to Friday): R 450 per sitter per booking
  • Please note this is a recruitment based service and carries recruitment tax rates, which are above those of placement based services. Rates charged for service fees include rates that are deducted to cover these costs for the agency, i.e. the paid rate is not the rate paid to staff.

SURCHARGES


  • Any booking made with less than 5 working days notice that is processed, attracts an additional R150 service fee

*Booking notice made after 4 pm on a particular day, counts as notice made the following day.


CLUB SITTERS


While rates with your direct core Sitter Support Team are negotiable as they are deemed long term opportunities and placements; the Sitter Fee for Club bookings are not, though they are reduced for club members when compared to international and once off service users.  Club members will receive 10% off the following fees apply:

  • Rates are charged per hour (from 15 minutes into the next hour) – half hour rates do not apply.
  • Minimum booking is 4 hours or the equivalent rate.
  • Double rates apply on public holidays and from 6pm on the evening prior to a public holiday.

LOGISTICS


Getting to the Booking Address: R 9 p/km (charged to and from) for every km over 20km away from the following CBD’s ;

Chaperone Services
  • Add R 9 p/km from pick up point to return or drop off point.
Valet|Parking Valet/parking costs are paid by the client to the child carer or where guest bookings is required to add this to be deducted from the clients account.
Payments

PAYMENTS


TIMING


  • SitSnapp Club Joining fee is paid to initiate the service and start sourcing your core Sitter Team.
  • You can immediately also join the club to receive additional benefits such as emergency booking services and interim bookings until we have sourced your core Sitter team.
  • While bookings with your core Sitter team are paid by yourself directly to them, via EFT, E-wallet or cash, all Babysitting Club Bookings ie. not with your core babysitting team, are paid in advance.
  • Full fees are due to proceed with any booking.
  • Please note as late notice fees are due for bookings made with less than 5 working days notice, if a booking is made prior to 5 working days notice, but only paid, less than 5 working days prior to a booking, the late notice booking fee will become due and will be added to the account.

OVERTIME | LOGISTICS


  • Any overtimeextra hours, or child-related expenses incurred during outings or activities are billed in arrears.
  • Any overtime or additional fees may be paid on completion of the booking directly to the booked Sitter in the case of once-off bookings, else will be reflected on the following working day’s invoice — billed directly to the designated paying party.

  • Credit Card Payments attract a 5% Processing Fee.
Cancellations

CANCELLATIONS


SUPPORT TEAM ACTIVATION


If cancelled after approval, as sourcing has commenced,  this fee is non-refundable as it covers the costs related to the marketing of the opportunity.

SITSNAPP CLUB


  • Monthly Subscription Membership: 1 months notice of cancellation required.
  • Annual Subscription Membership: Used portion of contract will be recalculated at monthly rates, and the remaining portion of the contract, less one month notice may be refunded at the agencies discretion.

ADDITIONAL BOOKINGS


  • Cancellations received less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, or after the role has commenced, are non-refundable.
  • For cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance, the full Booking Fee remains due and payable, as outlined in the Payments section and Terms of Service, while up to 50% of any remaining or pre-paid amount may be refunded at the agency’s discretion.
  • Any approved refunds will be processed within 3–15 working days.
