Booking Notice
BOOKING NOTICE
While we accept bookings to be worked anytime, and can immediately provide services on the following basis;
- if based within a 20km radius of our service centres request childcare for same-day bookings with as little as 3 hours notice*, from Monday to Friday, else;
- if based more than 20km from our service centres; a minimum of 1 working days* notice is required;
;it’s important to bear in mind that when you need a longer term contract it may take a few days to secure the longer term sitter to assist you. We therefore recommend at minimum 5 working days notice to secure the same person for all your bookings on a contract exceeding a total of 24 hours service across all bookings.

Please note that while we provide service up to 100km from the aforementioned centers, service is only available for same day bookings within a 20km radius of service areas. Any distance beyond 20km from these centres is also charged at R 9 p/km in each direction.
Ratios
RATIOS
The ratio of children to carer, and the requirements for the carer are determined by the number and ages of children requiring care. The minimum requirements of child carers to care for;
- Up to 2 children over 6 years old;

Rates
RATES
for contracts requiring 25 hours(or more)service on a short term contract, the following applies;
REGISTRATION
The Registration Fee is a once off fee of R 950. Once the request is processed it is not refundable and remains due whether the booking is completed or cancelled; as it covers our sourcing related costs.
PLACEMENT
- 1- 31 days Service: 35% of fee paid to contractor or minimum R 1950.
- 32 – 90 days Service: 30% of contract fee paid to contractor per month; or minimum R 1850 per month.
- 91+ days Service: 25% of contract fee paid to contractor per month; or minimum R 1750 per month.
SITTERS
The Sitter Fee covers the childcare providers service fees.

Average Rate Guide:
- Night Nursing: From R 1250 to R 950 per shift
- Child Care Rate Range: R 140 per hour – R 300 per hour
- Student Care Rate Range: R 160 per hour – R 600 per hour
- Home and Administrative Care Rate Range: R 140 – R 300 per hour
- Rates are charged per hour (no half hour rates)
- A lower monthly rate are generally offered on roles taking place over longer than a 31 day period
- Minimum booking is 4 hours or the equivalent rate per booking (in order to cover fuel and time getting ready/reaching you).
- Double rates apply on public holidays and from 6pm on the evening prior to a public holiday.

Getting to the Booking Address:

Chaperone Services
- Add R 9 p/km from pick up point to return or drop off point.
Valet|Parking
Valet/parking costs are paid by the client to the child carer or where guest bookings is required to add this to be deducted from the clients account.
Payments
PAYMENTS
TIMING
- All Short Term contracts are paid in advance.
- Service Registration Fee is paid to request service, and the Placement Fee for the projected total of the contract is paid prior to start of the role on confirmation of placement when the client confirms the Sitter they would like to hire.
- Sitter Fees are paid in advance for roles not exceeding 31 days in duration.
- For ongoing contracts exceeding 31 days in duration, Sitter fees are billed monthly in advance.
OVERTIME | LOGISTICS
- Any overtime, extra hours, or child-related expenses incurred during outings or activities are billed in arrears.
- Payment for these fees is due on the last working day of the contract, or weekly for extended contracts beyond 7 days in duration.

- Credit Card Payments attract a 5% Processing Fee.
Cancellations
CANCELLATIONS
- Registration Fees are non-refundable once the search has been authorised as they cover SitSnapp’s recruitment costs.
- Placement Fees for Short Term Contracts are non-refundable, as these fees relate to the agency’s service, which is deemed to have taken place once a candidate has been confirmed.
As Short Term roles are subject to the provisions of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), the following notice periods and conditions apply:
- 25 hours – 31 days: A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice is required.
- If a contract of less than 31 days is cancelled without 2 weeks’ notice, any fees corresponding to the 2-week notice period are forfeited.
- If the remaining contract period is shorter than 2 weeks, the remaining service within that window is forfeited.
- 32 days – 180 days: A minimum of 1 month’s notice is required.
- If a contract exceeding 32 days is cancelled without the required notice, the fees corresponding to the notice window are forfeited.
- If the remaining contract period is shorter than 1 month, the remaining service within that window is forfeited.
- If the originally booked contract period extends beyond the notice period, up to 50% of the remaining Sitter fees beyond the notice period may be refunded at the agency’s discretion.
- Requests to change the hours of a confirmed booking within a StaySit contract must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, the originally scheduled hours will be deemed used and are non-refundable, though the sitter may accommodate if available.
- In the event of cancellation of a contract initially agreed at a reduced rate due to a longer booked duration, the rate shall revert to the standard rate applicable for the hours actually worked, as if the booking had been made at such rate from the commencement of the contract.
- In the event of a cancellation of an unconfirmed booking, a 100% refund of the ‘Sitter Fees’ will be issued or they may be used for your next booking.
- Any approved refunds will be processed within 3–15 working days.
