Booking Notice
NOTICE REQUIRED
- Car seats, cot, other children’s furniture and large item hire is available with as little as 2 working days notice.
- Subject to availability.
Pricing
PRICING
Hire Equipment is available as a stand-alone service or add-on to any SitSnapp booking. Prices vary depending on availability, supplier source (SitSnapp or external partners and suppliers), and duration. Price Range (per day):
- Travel Essentials (car seats, cots, high chairs): From R 100 – R 350 per day (item dependent)
- Comfort & Safety (baby monitors, gates, play mats): From R 80 – R 250 per day
- Play & Activity Gear (push bikes, scooters, gross motor play sets): From R 100 – R 750 per day
- Luxury or Specialty Items (electric cars, sensory setups, STEM kits, TV Games): From R 550 – R 1500 per day
Final quotations are confirmed once availability is verified.
DEPOSIT, DELIVERY, COLLECTION & CLEANING
- Delivery within 20km of listed CBDs is from R 150 per trip (delivery, rotations and returns) depending on the number of children being entertained, and will always be confirmed on quotation.
- Depending on tier and / or rental equipment ordered, a refundable R3,500–R10,000+ breakage and loss security deposit applies which is held on your preferred credit card and will be returned within 2 working days of return and equipment check.
- Cleaning and safety checks included after return.
Payments
PAYMENTS
TIMING
- All fees for PlayBoxes, Hiring Items and their delivery fees are due to proceed with booking the request.
- The damage and loss deposit due for PlayBox and Hiring Items service is due to proceed with the booking (Credit Card Only).
PAYMENT METHODS
GuestCARE CLUB Members Guests
- GuestCARE Members (Registered hotels, concierge etc) may, beyond making bookings on behalf of guests, also make payment on behalf of their guests saving guests the 5% fee paid for credit card payments if processed by EFT.
- SitSnapp can alternatively send your guest a link directly for processing of payment for the requested booking via credit card.
- Local South African Guests may process payment via EFT or credit card.
Private Traveling Families
- International guests are welcome to pay via Credit Card.
- Else, if you are a South African family, or have South African friends or family happy to make payment on your behalf, payment may be made by any South African account holder directly via EFT to our account.
Notes
Credit Card Payments attract a 5% Processing Fee.
Cancellations
HIRE CANCELLATIONS
- PlayBOX bookings may be partially refundable at the agency’s discretion, depending on the reason for cancellation.
- The PlayPAX component included in any PlayBOX is non-refundable, as these items are prepared to order.
- If a PlayBOX booking is cancelled with more than 48 hours notice prior to booking commencement up to 75% of the hire items component of the Hire may be refundable at the agency’s sole discretion, based on the reason for cancellation.
- If a PlayBOX booking is cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled start date, or after the hire period has commenced, no refund will be issued.
- If cancelled after commencement, the contracted fees for and up to the next two working days of the hire period are non-refundable, while up to 75% of the remaining hire period fees for the equipment hire portion of the order may be refunded at the agency’s sole discretion, based on the reason for cancellation and the condition of return of any items already prepared or dispatched.
- All approved refunds if approved will be processed within 3–15 working days.
